How do I review command settings for a resource?

Open the resource's Control settings to review each command's remote execution, risk floor and confirmation. You need resource administration rights and an active account.

Review one command

  1. Sign in and open the resource you administer from Resources. Open Control settings, then choose Review execution policy for the command under Command execution safety.
  2. Check the command, control device and intrinsic risk classification. Set a resource risk floor that reflects its use here; it can increase restrictions, never lower the intrinsic classification.
  3. Choose whether remote execution is enabled. Only low or medium effective risk can be enabled; high, critical and unclassified commands remain blocked.
  4. For an enabled command, leave quick action off to require exact-value confirmation. You may enable it only when both the intrinsic classification and resource risk floor are low and remote execution is enabled. Quick action sends a request without confirmation.
  5. Enter the reason, save the policy, then check the recorded decision and review status. If the form reports a change while you were editing, review the reloaded values before submitting again.

If review is unavailable, read the blocker shown. An unclassified command needs an accepted classification through an authorized setup review; resource administration does not grant that setup role. After the classification changes, review this resource policy again before commands can be sent.

For missing classification, follow the device setup and classification steps.

If you cannot administer the resource, ask its admin to review these settings. Device development, Technical Support access, payment or an operator grant does not grant this review right.

Saving the policy does not send a command or grant someone command access. Disabling remote execution is not a physical stop. An enabled policy does not prove that a device received or applied a request.

For sending requests, see confirmation and cancellation. For giving another person control, see resource operator access.
